In response to the recommendations of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Avichi College of Arts and Science established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) during the academic year 2023-2024. The IQAC is committed to maintaining and enhancing quality standards across academic and administrative domains, ensuring alignment with the college’s vision and mission.

The primary objective of the IQAC is to implement a structured and proactive approach to improve institutional performance, ensuring continuous quality enhancement in education, administration, and research.

Functions of the IQAC

The IQAC plays a crucial role in developing and institutionalizing quality assurance strategies. Its key functions include:

  • Establishing and applying quality benchmarks for academic and administrative activities.
  • Sharing information on higher education quality parameters with faculty and students.
  • Organizing workshops, seminars, and quality circles to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Documenting and monitoring quality enhancement initiatives undertaken by the institution.
  • Preparing and submitting the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC.

To ensure continuous development, the IQAC:

  • Conducts quality circles and standing committee meetings to strategize institutional growth.
  • Develops a structured framework for guiding the institution’s quality assurance policies.
  • Oversees teaching, learning, and research activities to maintain high academic standards.
  • Organizes Induction Programs for newly recruited faculty members.
  • Conducts Capacity Building and Faculty Development Programs for both teaching and non-teaching staff.
