The Consumer Club at Avichi College of Arts and Science is committed to creating awareness about consumer rights, responsibilities, and ethical purchasing practices. Mission & Goal

The primary mission of the Consumer Club is to educate students about consumer rights and empower them to make well-informed purchasing decisions while fostering a sense of social responsibility and ethical consumerism.

Objectives
  • Educate students on consumer rights and responsibilities as per the Consumer Protection Act.
  • Promote awareness about unethical trade practices such as misleading advertisements, fraud, and exploitation.
  • Encourage responsible consumption by advocating for sustainable and ethical purchasing habits.
  • Develop leadership and critical thinking skills in students to enable them to voice concerns effectively.

Key Activities & Initiatives

Consumer Rights Awareness Programs
  • Organizing seminars and workshops on consumer laws, legal rights, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
  • Inviting legal and industry experts to speak about consumer protection and ethical trade.
Consumer Education Campaigns
  • Conducting awareness drives on product safety, standardization, and certifications (ISI, FSSAI, Hallmark, etc.).
  • Teaching students how to identify misleading advertisements and scams.
Sustainable & Ethical Consumerism
  • Promoting eco-friendly purchasing habits and minimal waste consumption.
