Where Cinema Comes to Life

Films are more than just entertainment—they are stories that inspire, challenge, and move us. The AVM Film Club at Avichi College of Arts and Science is a space where students can explore, create, and celebrate the art of filmmaking. Whether you dream of directing, enjoy analyzing films, or simply love the magic of movies, this club is where your passion meets opportunity.

If you have ever watched a film and thought, “I want to make something like this”, or if you love discussing cinematography, storytelling, and character arcs—this is your tribe.

What Makes Us Different?

Unlike just watching films for fun, we dive deep into cinema, exploring how stories are crafted, how emotions are conveyed, and how visual storytelling shapes our world.

  • We analyze films, not just watch them.
  • We create rather than just admire.
  • We learn from industry experts and hands-on experience.
  • We network with professionals, opening doors for future opportunities.

At the AVM Film Club, we believe that every great filmmaker, critic, and storyteller starts somewhere—why not here?

What We Do

Film Screenings & Discussions

We host regular screenings of classic, contemporary, and international films. But the experience doesn’t stop when the credits roll—we debate, dissect, and discuss the storytelling, cinematography, themes, and techniques that make these films great.

Workshops & Masterclasses

From scriptwriting to cinematography, editing to sound design, our workshops give you the tools to bring your vision to life. Industry professionals, guest lecturers, and experienced filmmakers provide insider knowledge to sharpen your skills.

Film Production & Hands-On Projects

Do you have a story to tell? Here, you don’t just talk about movies—you make them. Team up with fellow students to create short films, documentaries, and experimental projects, gaining real experience in directing, shooting, and editing.

Film Festivals & Competitions

Get your work recognized by participating in film festivals, both on campus and beyond. Compete in student filmmaking contests and showcase your films to audiences who appreciate storytelling and innovation.

Guest Lectures & Industry Insights

We bring in filmmakers, cinematographers, editors, and critics to share their experiences, discuss industry trends, and give valuable career advice. Learning from the best is how we grow.
