Arvind

Hi, my name is Arvind
I completed my Visual Communication degree at Avichi College of Arts and Science, Studying there was a great experience for me mainly because Mrs. Abhinaya, as the head of the department, always encouraged us to think creatively and push our limits. Mr. Prakash’s deep knowledge of media, Mr. Prem Nivas’s theoretical approach, Mr. Dhanraj’s passion for editing, and Ms. Merlin Claire’s engaging art classes made learning truly enjoyable. Each of them played a big role in shaping my skills and confidence. I found a second family within my department who made the effort to find out my interests and gave me the freedom to pursue it. I’m really grateful for their guidance and support, which have helped me grow both creatively and personally. Beyond the classroom, I cherish the memories of hanging out in the department, our endless conversations in the staff room, working on events, and spending hours in the edit lab. The friendships, laughter, and experiences I gained here will always hold a special place in my heart. I will forever cherish my time at Avichi and carry these memories with me for years to come.

Such a graceful experience i had in avichi college of arts and science. I really very much excited while joining the college for the first time. As much as i expected, the college gives me like a knowledge i gained, career i chosen, skills i have learned everything because of the help of this college. And ofcourse from all my teachers i have learned many thing that helps me out to survive in this toughest roler coster i mean this world. The only one thing i disappointed is about the online classes. That the only thing we couldn’t handle on the beginning of the year.
Such a wonderful experience i made on avichi college and i ever forgot the things made me better on nowadays is what i learn in the college.Every master classes we experienced is awesome and very helpful for each of us on our field of interest in cinema.
On the beginning of my life before joining the college, I’m just even don’t know what to do on my career. But while I’m studying on avichi college i learned something that hopes mr that i will be a better of my career in my life and that editing and direction. I like cinematography and ofcourse without any partiality, they teach me all of that. It also helps me on build my curriculam as well as i got known the field that i deserves. I’m very happy on being an avichian and it’s make pride too.

I’m Yeswanth from the batch of 2020-2023.

Firstly I Thank my Viscom Department at Avichi College of Arts and Science. Thanks to my professors for trusting me and gave me a big responsibility to be an Photographer of the Chennai Film Festival 2022-2023.

My Department had trusted me all through my ups and downs throughout the 3 years and even now. They had the belief on me and gave me the thing on which I’m very strong at, Photography I did most of the events on both inside and outside the campus. Their belief is the main reason that I’ve started doing my photography projects outside after completing my course.

All my professors were my great support and strength. Proud to be a Viscom student @Avichi

Thank you!

Pavithra

Hi, myself Pavithra

I’m the batch of 2020-2023

I’m completely grateful for choosing Viscom and that to @Avichi, I had gained so much of experience and knowledge in the department by my wonderful professors who were also my mentors. I had all the freedom to talk to them on both my personal and official things, not only with me but with all the other fellow mates, they showed the same.

I’m happy in one thing that they always believed me in what I did and they gave me so much of support and strength. More than professors they were all my mentors. I can proudly say that, I had the freedom to get the hands on practice on each and everything in the department. Like, I have been a photographer, I’ve been a videographer, I handled Gimble, I had the opportunity to do designs for the most important fest (CIFF), I was an event coordinator for AVM’s mastercalss 2022 (for that I thank my Professors Mrs. G Abhinaya mam and Mr. Prakash Sankar sir, for their belief on me), they always let their students to explore the things which they want to give it a try. Also they push them towards their success. That is how they made me into what I am now. All because of them and the freedom they gave to me to explore and gain knowledge from that.

I’m very much grateful to be an Alumni of Avichi Visual Communication Department

Thank You !

I am truly grateful to the Visual Communication Department at Avichi College of Arts & Science for shaping my journey in the field of filmmaking and video editing. During my time at college, I had the incredible opportunity to work on our college advertisements as a team, which laid the foundation for my practical learning.

My professors played a crucial role in my growth, giving me the chance to contribute to the Chennai International Festival and AVM’s Masterclass as a video editor. These experiences opened doors for me, leading to an internship at Zee Tamil while still in college. Upon graduation, I continued my journey with Zee Tamil, gaining a year of professional experience.

Today, I am proud to be a full-time freelance video editor, and I owe a huge part of my success to the guidance and support I received at Avichi College. Thank you to my professors, mentors, and friends who have been a part of my journey. I carry these learnings with me every day!
