Eligibility For Admission

Applicants for the degree course should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (XII Std.,) under the 10, plus 2 pattern prevalent in Tamil Nadu or its equivalent from other Universities or Boards. Candidates, who pass the All India Senior School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, will be eligible for admission, provided they pass the examination with a minimum of five subjects of which English shall be compulsory. An applicant from CBSE Stream should provide an eligibility certificate, from the University of Madras at the time of interview. English is the medium of instruction for all the courses of study. Tamil, Hindi and French Languages are offered under Part-I, Foundation Course. All courses are under the semester pattern prescribed by the University of Madras.

Admission Process

An Applicant provisionally selected for admission will be called for an interview with the Principal. The parent or guardian should be present at the time of interview. A call for the interview does not necessarily ensure admission. At the time of interview the candidate should produce all the relevant certificates in original along with Three Xerox Copies of all the Relevant Certificates, Three Passport Size Photos, a Fitness Certificate. Selected students are advised to keep with them sufficient number of true copies of their original certificates. The original certificates will not be returned to them before the completion of their course of study. Foreign students should provide a regular, long term student visa issued by respective Indian Embassy. All admissions are provisional and are subject to the approval of the University of Madras. All Selected student should follow the code of conduct, prescribed by the college, University of Madras and the Government. Such students should not get involved in any sort of Ragging activities and also to submit an undertaking to this effect.

How To Apply

Students who wish to obtain admissions for all U.G Courses should apply in the prescribed Application form. The Application forms can either be obtained (on payment of Rs.250/- towards Application , Registration and Processing Fee) in person at the College campus or downloaded online from the College Website www.avichicollegeedu.in from April month every Academic year. The filled in application form , along with the Attested Copies of relevant Certificates can be submitted to the College Office for admission Process. The duly filled in downloaded Application Form can be submitted to the College Office along with the Attested Copies of the Relevant Certificates and Rs.250/- only for Admission Process. The last date for receipt of application form for the U G Course is the 10th day after the publication of the Higher Secondary School Examination Results of Government of Tamil Nadu.
